Our extensive object and library collections, library and archive are a unique and valuable record of the history of medicine and the medical supply trade. All our collections and research facilities are available for everyone to use. Find out more about them here.
Our current Acquisition and Disposal Policy is now accessible online; click on the link below to see the wide range of material we collect. We have over 45,000 objects that tell the story of the history of medicine and healthcare from Roman times to the present day. However, we have to be selective as we don't have enough space to collect everything!
