Vintage Ambulance Event. Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June.

Find out how the emergency services have dealt with accidents and crises in the past and present. This is your chance to see the pride and joy of the Ambulance Conservation Group, the Austin K2 from the classic film 'Ice Cold in Alex'. Military field hospital, special effects wound make-up from film and TV, museum trail and family fun all weekend.

Hair Splitting Images - How William Astbury's X-Ray vision changed the world.

William Astbury's x-ray photographs of wet wool were truly amazing: they led to our modern-day understanding of living things. new treatments for diseases like Alzheimer's are possible because of his pioneering work.

Our exciting exhibition pays tribute to this Leeds based scientist whose observations led to the discovery of the double-helix, the structure of DNA.

Bringing archival material and personal records together for the very first time, the exhibition portrays the life and work of Professor William Astbury.

Every Tuesday - 27th July, 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th of August.

Join 'Make a wish's' fairy Wanda and Pixie Sticks for a very special teddy adventure in the Enchanted Forest.
