Tree of Life Talk
10.00am.
Dr Geoffrey Farrer-Brown will be talking about his work in commissioning the thought -provoking art works which form Tree of Life. using medical images from hids own work as a consultant pathologist. Dr Geoffrey Farrer-Brown inspired eleven different artists and four children to create extraordinary artworks revealing the beauty of the human heart and it's blood supply.
The event will be a unique opportunity to view the first peices commissioned for the exhibition, three ceramic bowls by Alan Caiger-Smith, one of the UK's foremost ceramicists.
Dr Farrer-Brown will also talk about the other touring exhibitions produced by the charity, A Picture of Health, Paintings and Drawings of Breast Cancer Care and Living with Leukaemia, Paintings and Drawings of Childhood Leukaemia, both by the late Susan Macfarlane.

From Saturday 25th October until Sunday 2nd November, 12.00 - 4pm, join us for our family drop in sessions.
Inspired by our visiting exhibition 'Tree of Life' of artists' portrayals of the heart, and part of the Big Draw Campaign for Drawing.
Add to a giant heart-shaped artworks, as well as using stethoscopes, models and games to find out more about how your heart works and how to keep it in tip-top condition.
Free with usual admission charge.
